Study finds less degree degree nurses linked to death rates 2014

Just my thoughts. We all know a certain type of poor care plus patient deaths, may result from low staffing of any kind.
Does this study take account of the number of care assistants who undertake a vital role?
Does the study consider the reasons for the patient deaths? ie is the death to be solely blamed on the absence of a degree nurse?
How is a degree to be defined? The degree differs between all Universities in the UK, and certainly between countries.
Indeed, studies within the UK, have found the degree to inadequately prepare nurses for practice (Dimon 2013).
There will also be differences between nursing fields. Is a full 3 year degree needed to practice in all fields?
