Doctors want to charge casualty patients
Sounds a good idea- charge £10 , patients who unecessarily attend casualty. Yes it is a tremendous burden on casualty. But how do we define "unecessary"? This cannot be determined, in some cases, until been assessed by a professional.
Some-yes. They could have gone to their GP.
Some- have no GP.
Some- are sent there by the GP- even when unecessary.
Plus benefits. Plus human rights issues. Plus people from overseas, we know govt say this is being addressed.
